Welcome to The First United Methodist Church of Normal, Illinois
A people growing in faith and love for God and neighbor. Located on the campus of Illinois State University, and located here is the United Methodist Wesley Foundation campus ministry. We are, however, more than a campus church. We are a people of God serving the entire community with ministries that touch individuals of all ages and from many walks of life as we seek to fulfill the vision of the United Methodist Church of “Open Hearts, open Minds, Open Doors.”
Individuals from many different backgrounds, and with very different life journeys, have experienced the love of God here and made this their church home. I hope that you may discover ministries in this caring and lively congregation that will both meet your needs and provide opportunities for you to be in ministry both in the church and through its outreach.

First Sunday Afternoon Lunch Social
Join us for a new tradition of fellowship (and food)! Sunday, March 4th we will have the first of what will become quarterly noontime meals. Stick around after 11:10 services, or the 9:00 am and Saturday folks can come back for soup, salad, and sandwiches at 12:15 in Fellowship Hall. A sign-up sheet will be available in the Welcome Center to give us an idea of how many to expect to serve. Please make plans to join us!
